I finally replaced the door. The one from the donor car was a perfect match. Aligning the latch required a bit of guess work though, I eventually got it aligned.

* Please excuse the potato, I took this photo just before sundown last night*

So, here's what I took from the donor car:

Passenger Door

Passenger Door Glass

Passenger Door Window Linkage

Passenger Door Exterior Handle & Linkage

Passenger Door Interior Handle & Linkage

Passenger Door Lock Linkage

Passenger Door Latch

Hinge Bolts

Kinja'd!!!

And what I transferred over from my door:

Passenger Side View Mirror

Passenger Door Card

Speaker

Electrical Boot

Passenger Door Hinge

Passenger Door Lock

Passenger Door Window Winder

Transferring the lock over was incredibly annoying. I had to fish my hand into the door cavity and maneuver the linkage onto the lock without being able to see what I was doing, and don't even get me started on removing the bracket so I could pull the lock out. That was its own headache.

Here's what the door looked like before I fixed The dent:

And so this never happens again, I installed a couple of these:

Kinja'd!!!

They rotate 360 degrees and have a pitch to them so I may even be able to use them for towing, granted probably not very well.

PS:

I just cant get over how good the black grille looks:

Kinja'd!!!

It almost looks factory! And yes thats !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! car parked next to mine, He's down from Boulder until tomorrow.

To be fair, finding a 90s Ranger in that color is like finding a red Ferrari. ;)

It's ok. Probably because it wasn't offered on the GT/GT40. :)

I had to do this in high school. Couldn't find a matching door so it looked like shit for the next 3 years.

Good work!

His problem was one of vertically. The thing he hit was below where the mirrors can see.

Was he reversing or something? Some cars do it automatically but if not I adjust the passenger mirror to look down while reversing. Helps a lot, plus you won't look like a senior citizen with super magnified CVS stick-on mirrors.

I was reversing out of a tight spot in a stupid part of town. The hydrant faced away from the spot so it was technically legal parking but the lot was designed by an idiot for putting a spot there. It fell below the belt line and my mirrors dont adjust down. I knew it was there yet I still hit it. And I agree the spot mirrors are butt ugly, I have a friend thats parting out a 1999 Explorer and I'm eventually gonna take the mirrors off of that. Those mirrors adjust down

Yup, reversed right against a fire hydrant, and he said in the post that his mirrors don't adjust up and down.

So....was it a dumb part of town because the fire hydrant was in a bad place, or because you were there??

OK OK OK I'll see myself out, nice work Denmoe

I was worried about moisture collecting in the gap that the dent made. My truck is 99.9% rust free with absolutely no structural rust and I plan to keep it that way

While I do understand if you put a lot of time into a post and it gets buried by some theme nonsense, or if oppo is kinja'd for a couple hours after you post, but when you've had 152 eyes on it and 11 recommends, I don't think it's warranted.
